Apply for LIVE ON SET
LIVE ON SET is hookspace's live session series, giving musicians a stage that's done right: played fully live, properly produced, and fair to the artist. Our focus is on emerging artists and musicians.
Production guideline
Location: hookspace studio · Open in Google Maps ↗ (car and motorbike access)
Program format
- About 30 minutes, 3–5 songs, recorded fully live. No playback or lip sync.
- Released on YouTube. No host or MC. Transitions happen naturally between band members.
- Tone & mood: intimate, warm, raw, honest, focused — as if no camera is in the room.
Storyline
- Intro: detail shots of the set and room ambience while the band tunes and checks mics.
- On set: editing follows the tempo and dynamics of each song; camera moves organically.
- Outro: the camera holds on the band resting as the instruments ring out and fade to black.
Wardrobe
- No white or black clothing.
- No tightly striped patterns.
- Choose muted colors that suit the set: warm earth tones, olive-green wood panels, and a brick-red Persian rug.
Look & lighting
- Vintage living-room set with warm amber practical lamps.
- Moody overhead spotlights keep the focus on the musicians while the background falls into soft darkness.
